The Recycle Bin icon is usually displayed on the desktop by default. But you can also hide the icon on your desktop if you want.

Please follow the steps below to hide or show the recycle bin icon on the desktop:< /strong>

　1. Click Start and then click Control Panel.

2. Click Appearance, and then select Personalization.

3. In the left panel, click Change desktop icons, and then choose the following methods to operate:

Clear the Recycle Bin check box to delete the Recycle Bin icon on your desktop.

Select the Recycle Bin checkbox to display the Recycle Bin icon on your desktop.

4. Click OK.

When you hide the Recycle Bin icon, the files you have deleted will still remain in the Recycle Bin temporarily until the files are completely deleted.
