Under default settings, the volume control icon will be displayed in the notification area. In some cases, this icon may be hidden.

Depending on which operating system you are using, the steps to display the volume icon are as follows:

WindowsXP:

　1. Click Start and then click Control Panel.

2. Double-click the sound and audio device icon.

3. Select the Put the volume icon into the taskbar check box, and then click OK.

WindowsVista or Windows7:

1. Right-click on the blank space of the toolbar and click Properties.

2. Select the notification area label and select the volume checkbox.

3. Click Confirm.
