The method for ThinkPad to use a self-made recovery CD to restore the Vista system (applicable to 200, 300, 400, 500, 700 models) is as follows:
Note: When using Product Recovery CD, all files on the hard disk will be lost. Data and partitions are deleted. Before preparing to restore, please confirm that the data that needs to be saved in all partitions on the hard disk has been backed up. The final result will only be the C: Q: S: partition containing the Vista system and random TVT software.
(Homemade recovery disc: refers to a set of system recovery discs created by users through the Start menu-->Programs-->ThinkVantage-->Create Product Recovery Media function).
1. Put the first self-made recovery CD into the CD-ROM drive, restart the computer, and it will automatically boot into the interface (if it does not automatically boot from If the CD is used to boot, then restart and press F12 to select the CD-ROM drive to boot, and the system will boot into the RR system).
2. Select language: Simplified Chinese, and then click Next.
3. Read and accept the conditions, then click NEXT.
4. Click Next to start recovery.
5. A prompt box appears, please click "No".
6. A prompt box appears, please take out the first CD from the CD-ROM drive and put the second CD into the CD-ROM drive.
7. A prompt box appears, please click "No".
8. The system starts to install automatically. This process takes a long time. No operation is required during this period. The system will handle it by itself.
9. After the installation is completed, the Windows vista initial setup screen will appear. Please make selections as needed. After the settings are completed, you can enter the desktop of the Vista system.
