The following steps only apply to WindowsVista Home Basic and Home Premium. Enable file sharing:

1. Click Start, enter network in the search bar, and then click Network and Sharing Center.

2. Click the file sharing expansion arrow, select Open file sharing, and then Click Apply. If a prompt window pops up, click Yes or Allow to continue.

Shared folder:

 1. Right-click the folder that needs to be shared, and then click Share< /p>

 2. Enter the name of the user with whom you want to share the file or folder, and then click Add.

 3. Click Share, and then click Done. Two people will appear superimposed on the folder icon, which indicates that the folder has been shared.

Connect to a shared folder:

1. Click Start, then click Network.

2. Find the computer where the folder is located and double-click, then browse to find the shared folder.
