When the USB port of Acer notebook does not work or there is no response when plugging a device into the USB port for a long time, the user can try to reinstall the USB port driver.

To remove and reinstall the USB driver, please follow the steps below:

　1. Disconnect the USB device connected to your computer.

2. Click Start, right-click My Computer (or Computer) and click Manage.

3. In the computer management interface, click Device Manager on the left.

4. Click the "+" sign in front of the Universal Serial Bus controller.

5. Right-click the listed device and select Uninstall. When the confirmation prompt appears, click Yes.

6. After all devices are removed, close all windows and restart the computer.

7. After restarting, the system will automatically install all USB drivers.
